Payments remain a difficult issue without a clear solution. Working with cryptocurrency has traditionally necessitated a certain level of expertise, and with scammers lurking around, attempting to rob people of their hard-earned tokens, this presents additional security risks.

The Challenge
So, when we first started, we identified a few issues that needed to be addressed in our video. For this, we used our briefing to understand and research better.
- High fees and volatility – Nobody likes paying high fees, and with cryptocurrency, even a simple transaction can become prohibitively expensive. With increased volatility, your $100 bill will almost certainly become $80 tomorrow. Or $50, depending on the market, of course.
- A scarcity of merchant-specific cryptocurrency payment solutions – Crypto exchanges can be used, but they are not suitable for commercial purposes. Especially with platforms like Coinbase and Binance, which focus on spot and futures trading rather than merchant convenience. Additional fees and KYC requirements may apply; there are numerous unnecessary complications.
- Poor user experience – Should we even mention that most payment options are basic, clunky, and confusing to laypeople? How can we talk about quick adoption if seamless and intuitive user interfaces are not widely available? In our video, we also highlighted Helio’s user-friendly interface by emphasizing how few tappity taps users will need to generate and share a payment link.
The market was flooded with consumer crypto tools, but there were few solutions that enabled frictionless crypto payments tailored to merchant needs. Helio.co intended to address this.

The Process
As previously stated, we have begun to lay the groundwork and develop ideas. The first step was, of course, to fully understand the niche that we would be targeting. We knew from our previous experience on Certhis.io how important it was to lay a solid foundation for the storyline. We tested ourselves in the role of a potential user, using the platform in demo mode. In addition, we received our completed brief from the client, which communicates key value propositions and target personas.
Now it was time to get started on the script.
The client specifically requested a dynamic video.…without the voice over. Voice over, in particular, is typically an important component of the video. It allows you to distribute the information load between the narrator and the visual side. A video without a voiceover means that more information should be packed into the video’s visual narration.
A draft was presented to the client and approved, which included key text visuals and the general flow of the visuals, as well as visual descriptions and GIF references.
Design
After the client had fully approved the script, work on the illustrated design and moodboard based on the branding began. First, we created a storyboard with all 2D assets, despite the fact that we intended to create a 3D video. This is because we need to approve the project’s overall flow first, followed by the 3D models to ensure they are exactly what the client is looking for. Following that, we finished modeling the 3D assets, approved them, and prepared them for integration into the animation.
Animation
For 3D projects like this, animation is divided into two parts: 2D and 3D, which are animated separately before being combined to form a symphony.
In our case, 2D parts were primarily used for text animation and animating the UI interactions visible within the piece, whereas 3D points were used for the main USPs, as well as to add character to mouse clicking and scrolling around the interfaces.
Sound Design And VFX
When the animation is completely approved, we put the finishing touches on the video. We’re doing something fantastic with this video by creating a custom soundtrack for each story element and transition. This compensated for the lack of voice over while also making the overall story more interesting. Incorporating sound effects like clicks, buttons, and cheers into the custom soundtrack only enhances the video’s overall appeal.
Cutdowns, resizes, gifs
Now, the main video is complete, which is fantastic. But! Let us not stop here. To ensure that we are creating a video strategy rather than just a standalone video, we have handled additional content cuts.
Distribution Strategy

For this project, we created additional cutdowns, gifs, as well as website and social media posts with graphics. Cutdown is essentially a shorter version of the main video that highlights a specific message or unique selling point and is presented as a standalone video. This expands its reach and can be used to target specific groups of buyers.
Aside from the cutdowns, we made sure to include a native resize for 9:16 format for Instagram and TikTok engagement. For additional assets, we created small graphics based on the video designs that will be proudly displayed on their website.
In addition, as a general rule, here are some durations that work best across different platforms:
YouTube videos can range from 60 seconds to 2 minutes, while LinkedIn videos can be 30-60 seconds long.
Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, or Facebook: 30 seconds maximum.
This will allow for maximum engagement, and once viewers are hooked, they can follow the link to watch the entire video.
Results & Impact

- Through various cutdowns, resizes, and other content, as well as its distribution across conferences, it has received over 100,000 aggregate views.
